Financial Services Authority (OJK): Bitcoin may enter Indonesia's commodity futures exchanges

Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (Bappebti) opens the opportunity to trade crypto bitcoin in Indonesia.

Responding to this matter, Task Force Chairman OJK Investing Tongam Lumban Tobing said, virtual trading assets in Indonesia should be regulated, especially licensing and supervision.

"Bitcoin or other types could enter into commodity goods on futures commodity exchanges. But not on the Stock Exchange because bitcoin not enter the type of securities traded in the capital market, "said Tongam to Kontan.co.id, Thursday (11/1).

According to him, it is possible as long as it meets the regulatory requirements by the regulator, Bank Indonesia.
